The first EA WIP I submitted was in January, holy shizz.. It's been more than 8 months now That's how much of a procrastinator I am.
All that detail, especially the hair and lace and whatever fancy shizz she's wearing, held me back a lot from continuing to draw this. As if I wasn't tortured enough from drawing the plaid in Kyo already. Dx
Meh my fault for always drawing people with fancy looks nowadays. I find plain faces uber boring and not challenging enough most of the time. xP
Emilie Autumn is friggin awesome. She's a really great singer with a very versatile voice and a totally wicked violinist. <3

Time: No idea how many hours I took, at least 10 hours I suppose . But during the time span of more than 8 months
Pencils: HB, 2B (mech), 4B and 6B
-- EDIT: Made it darker. Stupid scanner reflections on graphite making everything look bright blah~

*drum roll* Yeah I agree with you there, it's the clothing and hair details that illuminate such an exquisite portrait. Her facial expression is neutral, she's letting her style do all the talking.
I commend your hard work and effort to fulfil each compositional aspect.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This contest ends on Friday the 18th December 2009. If you want to enter, get your entries in quick! Here are all the entries so far. Also if you want to donate a prize, that would be fantastic too, just note me

Where is the love? Probably being kicked to death in a ditch somewhere by a group of yobs from Portsmouth.
